Alaska 2013 – Part 8

Santa Claus House

Santa Claus House

We woke up early and drove out to North Pole (there’s really such a place in Alaska!) to visit the Santa Claus House. We were actually there the day before but it wasn’t open. See! Planning is important… anyway. There wasn’t much to see… I wanted to buy the sourdough starter for Cousin Ann but was afraid it wouldn’t pass through AU customs. Wanted to send a postcard to Joyce, but didn’t know her address and it was too late to message her for her address. I ended up buying some tees for the niece and nephews.

North Pole was interesting as the “town council” really dressed up the town like it was Christmas!

The rest of the day was spent at the hostel because I got even more sick due to the low temps and strong winds.

A kind hostel mate passed me these!
