New read

While searching for travel information for my Kaohsiung trip, I came across this blog – and it was quite good! The writer did a 16 day tour of Taiwan with a few friends and he took really nice pictures. I was very inspired to go to those places after seeing his photos, so we are going to Kenting as well and doing homestay to experience the Taiwanese way of life!

Jason travels a lot and does a lot of great reviews, so it’s always refreshing to visit his blog. Perhaps you could use his blog as well for your next F&E trip, if he has been to the place you plan to visit?

Twilight mania

ok, so where was i? oh yeah, about twilight. now i do see why millions of fans worldwide go crazy at each sequel’s book launch, why they have been waiting so long for the movie to be released. i’ve never done this – read a book and watch the movie adaptation. you know how it is, the book is ALWAYS better than the movie. but of course! the movie’s a reduced, condensed 2 hour version of the book, but still, i think the movie fleshes out the characters really well and make them come to life even more. look at how gorgeous the cast is!

Alice‘s my favourite character of all, besides Edward, Bella & Carlisle. She’s like so spunky and infectious!

ashley-greene Here’s Ashley Greene (Alice)

And here’s the 2 main leads: Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson. Ok, the main reason why I chose this picture is that I love Kristen’s shades. LOL

sis and i are now officially bitten by the twilight bug, so much so that we’re planning to watch the movie again a second time (i definitely did NOT appreciate my dear sis bugging me in the dark room, asking me for spoilers. sheesh). and we’ve placed an order on for the special collector’s hardcover boxset of the 4 books (twilight, new moon, eclipse & breaking dawn). it’s sold out like everywhere on planet earth and the publisher has to do reprints. even though we ordered online, we still have to wait till early feb before we can lay our hands on it.

now, obviously it will be a long wait for us… 1 month without the cullens is just too long to bear. so luckily i had a colleague who’s also obsessed with twilight, and she’s going to lend me the next 2 instalments!

i guess this is one major problem with me – everytime i love something, i just fall 100% head over heels in love with it, him, them. since watching the movie, i’ve done nothing but search for twilight news and stuff and even music! *even as i’m typing this entry, i’m listening to bella’s lullaby on itunes. oh, and i’ve made some cuts from bella’s lullaby to suit as my mobile’s ringing & message tone.

how obsessed are you? tell me! =)

“eternal” love

the hype built around the movie was unmistakable. it’s definitely going to be a hit this holiday season (though it’s not a traditional holiday movie).

i almost forgot that i had to work the next morning. i almost forgot i had to breathe, sleep and eat. i finished my new book in record time – 6 hours.

i’m talking about twilight. that’s my new book. i got it cheap on a book exchange community on livejournal. only$22 for this book (brand new) & also cecilia ahern’s thanks for the memories.

one thing about me is that i always try to place myself in the shoes of the leading female character. that way, i get to experience all the emotions, heart-wrenching, thought-provoking emotions that the character is going through. that way, i get to fully appreciate the book.

and it’s just so… …. i don’t know, but i just cannot seem to put the book down. even when i was sleeping last night, my mind was very active and wanted to wake up asap to finish the book.

the male character is also so beautifully crafted that if vampires really exist, i wouldn’t mind meeting one and befriending him/her. LOL at my own silly thought.

i’m pretty obsessed with the series now, just like how i was obsessed with lucky santangelo and her family a few months back. now off to check if i could still get tickets for the movie tonight! have fun and a happy new year people.

if anyone wants to borrow it, i can lend it to them for a fee (works something like how SAN bookshop works – you pay the full price i set, then upon return, i refund you part of the amount you paid. the balance will be the ‘fee’. eg full price $15. refund upon return $12. the fee for renting my book = $3).

sorry but i have to charge cos this book is going to be part of my collection and i cannot afford to have anyone ruin/damage the book.

Sweet T Originals

I came across this website, Sweet T, while beauty blog surfing yesterday. Sweet T produces handmade bags – makeup pouches, totes and wristlets. Totes (US$30) are completely out of stock at the moment, but there’re a number of makeup pouches (US$23-25) and wristlets (US$25) available for viewing. International postage is US$4.95 for a bag. Of course, the more bags you order, the cheaper postage will work out to be per bag.

So, take a look, and anyone interested to order? =D
